A gathering of babies and mommies!

The Baby Class of 2006/2007 met for a very fun get-together at Jenn's house in PA. Jenn hosted a fabulous Silpada jewelry party, and we all had lots of fun "shopping" in her dining room! Caroline was fascinated by all of the shiny and sparkly pieces, and she picked out a fabulous baby bracelet. I chose a pair of beautiful silver earrings. We had a wonderful time! We also managed to participate in some group photos. The first was for babies only, and after snapping a ton of shots where babies were crawling away, stealing each others paci's, looking in different directions, and toppling over on each other, we managed to get ONE good one! This picture was arranged by oldest (almost 2 yrs) to youngest (8 months.) Our very youngest member (7 months) unfortunately missed out on the fun because he was sick at home. He will be making an appearing in future pictures I'm sure!

The babies were then scooped up by their very photogenic mommies and managed to sit still and pose for this great shot! Caroline and I are very lucky to be surrounded by such a great group of friends!

A baby on the move!

Caroline's newfound mobility skills (aka "Army Crawling") are a source of enjoyment... for her AND us!

Stuck in the middle

Tuesday was Primary Election Day in Maryland, and I decided to dress Caroline for the occasion. Of course, the saying on this onesie has caused great conflict in our house. While Scott and I are both registered Republicans, I'm leaning towards voting for Obama, and therefore "switching teams" and joining the Democratic party. So you can imagine the fun Scott and I are having, with poor Baby Caroline stuck in the middle! One cool thing out of ALL of this is that the site that I ordered this onsie from decided to feature this picture on their webpage! I'm glad that they think Caroline is a "cool little hipster!" http://www.sandboxthreads.com/
Stay tuned... Scott has already told me he's looking for a Republican version of this onesie!

Don't fence me in!

We finally got around to installing our baby gates this weekend! Caroline is now crawling (albeit Leuitenant Dan-style) all over the house. Scott did a great job, and we feel much better now that there is SOMETHING between Caroline and a long flight of hardwood stairs. Of course, the gate made for a fun photo opp... Let's just hope we don't see a repeat of this photo when she's an adult!!

How fun is THIS???

My dear friend Kelly (mom of baby boy C) was nice enough to let us borrow her Rainforest Bouncer. Baby C is almost a year old, and he's grown tired of bouncing in place now that he's crawling all over the house. Well Caroline LOVES to bounce every chance she gets... as you can see here! So a big thank you to the H family!

PS - I hereby promise to stop making ridiculous oohing and ahhing noises in all future videos. Gah!

America's Next Top (Baby) Model

OK, not really, but I thought that would make for a funny title!
Recently, we had some professional pictures taken of Caroline. We found an amazing photographer in Annapolis and his name is David Anderson (http://www.daphoto.com/) Aside from sharing a name with Scott's older brother David Anderson Brown, he's incredibly talented and Caroline just loves him. It also doesn't hurt that he makes some pretty cool duck noises. Caroline digs ducks!

He has a package called the Cradle Club where he shoots her at 4, 8 and 12 months. And then Scott and I buy a zillion pictures from each session and he retires a very wealthy man. :-P

Here is one of our favorite shots from her 4 month session. David actually asked us if he could use this image for some promotional work he's doing with the studio. Pretty cool, huh?
