How fun is THIS???

My dear friend Kelly (mom of baby boy C) was nice enough to let us borrow her Rainforest Bouncer. Baby C is almost a year old, and he's grown tired of bouncing in place now that he's crawling all over the house. Well Caroline LOVES to bounce every chance she gets... as you can see here! So a big thank you to the H family!

PS - I hereby promise to stop making ridiculous oohing and ahhing noises in all future videos. Gah!

America's Next Top (Baby) Model

OK, not really, but I thought that would make for a funny title!
Recently, we had some professional pictures taken of Caroline. We found an amazing photographer in Annapolis and his name is David Anderson (http://www.daphoto.com/) Aside from sharing a name with Scott's older brother David Anderson Brown, he's incredibly talented and Caroline just loves him. It also doesn't hurt that he makes some pretty cool duck noises. Caroline digs ducks!

He has a package called the Cradle Club where he shoots her at 4, 8 and 12 months. And then Scott and I buy a zillion pictures from each session and he retires a very wealthy man. :-P

Here is one of our favorite shots from her 4 month session. David actually asked us if he could use this image for some promotional work he's doing with the studio. Pretty cool, huh?

Fun with ducky!

There is no greater sound in the world than Caroline's happy chatter and laughter. Here is a clip of some "fun with ducky!"

One of Caroline's favorite Christmas presents was her Musical Stack and Play toy. When she first starting playing with it, she would just bang the balls on the cone, or bang them together, which was still a lot of fun. But now, a few weeks later, she can easily place each ball into the cone, and likes to do it over and over again. I thought this was a pretty big accomplishment with regards to her motor skill development, so I thought I would record her new skills. Unfortunately, I wound up entertaining HER with my ridiculous pleading and coaxing. Oh well, maybe another day...

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I turned 36 this week - my first birthday as a mommy! Quite the milestone, don't you think? It was wonderful to celebrate my special day with Scott and Caroline and my mom. Caroline got her first taste of double chocolate birthday cake - I think she liked it??

I received some very nice gifts, and some funny birthday cards. I thought the saying on this one was particularly funny: "Mom, You've always been a "mother hen," in the very best sense of those words. And me? I'm one grateful chick!"

Baby it's COLD outside!

When dressed appropriately, winter walks are still enjoyable! Caroline digs her hat and snowsuit... most of the time.

Food, glorious food!

Caroline is a great little eater. We have yet to find a food that she'll turn away from, with the exception of the jar of "chicken dinner" that both looked and smelled disgusting. She showed off her fine dining skills to Aunt Brandy a few weeks ago. About a 1/3 of the food actually made it INTO her mouth. The rest wound up on the tray, Brandy, the floor, wall, etc. As you can see from this picture, it sure was a fun time!
